I filed for my self, wife and two daughters I-485 and EAD with all documents but without I-140 recipt notice instead I enclosed evidences of the cashed check, INS online status print out and cover letter with reciept number.
My application reached on July 2 at 11:34am. No reciept yet. I called INS and representative explained my case will not be denied. If at all, INS will ask for the reciept notice.
I have my reciept notice for I-140 now.
At this point shall I wait or apply one more today with the reciept notice.

I'm going to guess that the same folks in the Tea Party screaming about the deficit will somehow find this breaking news to be irrelevant. Once you get married and get your License your spouse can file for I-130, I485 concurrently. You can file for EAD and Advance parole also along with this you need affidavit of support I-824

My company is processing my Green card and recently applied my I-140. My wife is applying for residency this year. Most of hospitals are saying that they can sponsor only a J-1 visa. Can you please suggest if this would be a problem for my Green Card processing and/or her visa stamping (Since applying for G.C means that we wants to stay and J-1 means the other way round)?

I came to US on J1 visa (exchange visitor program) and got waiver and converted to H1 visa. I could not apply for I-140 due to employers problems and now I have short of time for H1 extension.

My H4 is expiring on 6th May 2011 and am planning to enroll in university in summer semester starting june 2011 and would be filing change of status also. my question is in case my F1 doesnt get approve before my H4 expires, will i get of status?Can i stay legally after H4 expires and before F1 gets approved?Pls advice.

Can someone give me the site where i can get the current processing dates for PERM?
The Labour certification is going to be filed this month end, in that case how long i have to wait to file I140?
Also i heared that I140 and 485 can be filed together.
Is that true? if so what is required from my side to the attorney for those two stages.

I am waiting on my AP for myself and wife. I am not sure for how long the AP is approved for. I saw that it is sent and I should be getting in a couple of days probably.
I also think that something should be done in order to get 3 year EAD/AP since the approval process is taking longer.
