1. Can anyone tell me what all information about my green card status I need to share with prospective employer attorney to make sure they provide it in H1b application...???

2. What's alien number and where can I find it...???

Hello

My friend is in USA on F1 visa and her wife and daughter denined visa twice with reason that my friend is studying here not working.

Even he is not offering sponsership to her wife and kids. His in laws are sponsering both of them. Now he wants to invite them on his graduation day. Can he get a letter from local senator with F1 visa status ? or is that only for people who pays taxes . ( H1b or l1b ) ?

Please advise.

My PD is 09/2002. I have already renewed EAD for 3 times. Still I have been using my H1, not on EAD. Due to lot of expenses, I don't want to renew EAD again. Current EAD is expiring in September. Is that okay? or better renew? Thanks.

That would be 245(i) - ability to file for AOS with more than 6 months out of status by paying a fee. Most people here would be opposing this ammendment because of some "moral" issues. Well, I hope they have never been out of work while on H1.

Hi,

I am filling out an LCA online for an employer who is hiring someone as an H-1B transfer. I am using iCERT and had a question as I go through the process:

Part E. Attorney of Agent Information
16. Law firm/Business FEIN:

This sections asks me for my law firm tax ID number. However, I am a solo practitioner so do not have a TIN or EIN - I use my SSN for taxes etc.

If I leave this part blank, or put N/A will this make them deny my LCA? I called their help desk, but am waiting (who knows how long) for them to respond.

Her H4 is not dependent upon the employer but on her spouse maintaining a valid H1 with an employer. There is no need for your wife's friend to worry or do anything.
However, if she wants to get a visa stamp, she would have to go with her husband's current H1 I797 at that time.

A lot of people have been for a long time. That is the reason IV has formed to eliminate/minimize the wait.

Hi everyone:


I'm new at this forum and am hoping someone would be able to shed some light on my dilemma. My labor certification is currently under supervised recruitment. I checked the America's Job Bank website and found my ad, but the job description in it contained only the part according to O*Net occupation description. The form ETA-750 had some additional job requirements posted by the employer, which were omitted in the AJB ad. I'm afraid with the current ad at AJB they'll get tons of applications.

Can someone advice what shall I do?

I just filed for an H1B transfer in April. My current H1 is valid till April 2010. Just got an email from CRIS stating that my current I-129 case which was approved in April 2007 has been reopened at USCIS determination for review. Is there a problem or is it just normal procedure to look at the original H1B petition? Have transfered H1B before but have never had this happen. Is this something new that they are doing? Incidentally I am on the 10th year of my H1B and have a copy of the approved I-140 based on which we filed for a 3 year extension.

And my own sources are telling me that some Democrats are looking at trying to get the DREAM Act in that same piece of legislation.
